Serviced a LOMO 20-120 with 2x anamorphic rear.
This is a nice and handsome lens once tuned.
Took it apart completely. Made several new parts and repaired others. Fine tuned optics. Made machanics smooth and precise. Will soon be ready for rent.

Had to make new cam followers. The old ones were to short and had been squashed. Turning precision parts in plastic takes some serious focus. π
After clean reassembly with new greases lens works perfect again. Fantastic optics! Test images all shot at 1.5.

This project started as a very simple, 3 parts per lens project but evolved into a very very complicated 15 parts design.
All lenses have the same outer dimensions, standard focus gears, non rotating fronts, geared aperture ring and 95mm fronts. PL mounts have a new design and sits perfectly stable on the lens.

Recently serviced this old Zeiss Jena 7.5cm f1.5 from 1941!
Focus was stuck and aperture broken. Someone had modified it with a m42 mount but it didnt reach infinity at all.
After I managed to take it apart and clean the iris and focus I had to work alot on the helicoid. The lens had signs of impact. After the focus jam was treated I had to make the helicoid threads about 1.07mm shorter to be able to reach infinity. After that I restored the name rings engravings. Now the lens works as it should. Everything feels smooth and precise and infinity works great. Last image of the car is shot at f1.5. Very nice image from a lens recently declared dead in a drawer. Literally. π

I had the pleasure servicing an old Kinoptik 100mm lens from a very old camera called: Debrie Super Parvo
The lens had some serious dirt between elements and a pin was loose on one of the iris blades. I had to make a new pin with the outer diameter 1.98mm. Once iris was fixed I cleaned averything but the particles on some of the elements would not come of so I did some light polishing on those which worked well. I also filled the old engravings with some new paint and polished parts. I love how it still looks old with many signs of the storys it has told yet still works perfectly smooth. This lens still has a lot to give. Perhaps its best days lays ahead of βherβ? πβ€οΈ

After service of a Arri Zeiss 11-110 zoom I continued service of the Cooke Varokinetal. Cleaned and reassembled the focus system with its two open ballbearings. That was fun!Reassembled and calibrated the lens and then decided to test it in my new stereo microscope. ( Sorry @jayholben Your book is also fantastic as temporary support under the microscope πβ€οΈ)
Found a very greasy aperture. After consulting my client we decided that too will get some attention.
